The People Behind StreetSide Media

Jason Gatewood hails from St. Louis, MO and grew up in Los Angeles, CA. His alma maters are Webster University and The Art Institute of Atlanta. He has worked in the broadcasting and multimedia industry for nearly 15 years now for such companies as Rueters/CNN, WGCL-TV, Yubunsha, Matsushita-Panasonic, Jones-Lang-LaSalle, The Rail Network, and Comcast. He also is an accomplished cinematographer; his film credits include Guardrail and most recently The Playpen.  He credits his fresh approach to filmmaking and multimedia with time spent living, working, and studying in Osaka, Japan for 4 years.

Ben Rose is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana.  Finding escape early in writing and sports he attended Indiana University and studied English as a major.  After dropping out to pursue his dream of being a published author he found there is much more to the industry than finishing a manuscript.  After much struggle he learned the craft of writing as well as performance and video/film production through work experience in Broadcast News and Cable spot production.  He has performed lead roles in productions of August Wilson's "Two Trains Running", and Susan Lori-Parks "Top Dog Underdog" as well as the Tony award winning play "Take Me Out".  He has won two Telly Awards and is a published poet and accomplished drummer/percussionist.  Recently he wrote, directed, and produced his first feature film, The Playpen
